Why Choose Reiki?

Reiki is highly accessible for those new to energy healing.

In my opinion, this is the best modality for those new to energy healing or alternative healing work. All you need to do is lie down, relax and be open to what might come through.

There is no need for any preparation. I recommend coming with an intention but even without this, I have seen people experience its benefits.

Reiki is known to be safe.

As a form of natural energy healing, it’s known to be safe, non-invasive and low risk. The energy does not come from me personally, but from the universe. Reiki means ‘universal life force energy’.

As a reiki practitioner, I am trained to facilitate a flow of this energy to the client, through my hands. I am guided intuitively on where to place them, for how long, and where to allow more energy to flow.

Reiki supports physical and emotional well-being.

It treats the body holistically, providing energetic support for your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. A reiki treatment can help release energy blockages, ease stress and anxiety, and increase feelings of peace, positivity and well-being.

Reiki can provide support for those dealing with physical or life challenges.

Based on anecdotal reports, it can ease pain for those suffering from physical illness and ease fears for those dealing with difficult life events.

Reiki can provide support that prepares the body energetically to receive treatment, and support to cope with the after effects and emotional distress of harsh treatments such as chemotherapy.

Its benefits are sufficiently well known that some hospices and hospitals also offer reiki to their patients. Please note that reiki is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric, psychotherapy or other healthcare services or treatment.

Want to try a session?

I recommend trying an in-person appointment to have the full and ‘authentic’ experience, as reiki is traditionally a hands-on modality.

To choose a practitioner, you may wish to explore a few options online to get a feel for who might feel right for you.
